Job Description
Technician Levels 1, 2, and 3
A BAS Programmer/Technician will work as part of a team responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of DDC building automation systems. This position requires clear communication skills with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
Job Duties:
- Checkout, start-up, and commissioning on projects.
- Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
- Perform service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on building systems.
- Coordinate customer training and assist in completing closeout documents.
- Create and troubleshoot software programs and animated front-end graphics.
- Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience with DDC Building Automation Systems, LON, BACnet, Niagara AX or N4.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with IP networks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Desired Experience:
- 2-5 years with Tridium Niagara, Lonworks, Distech Controls, Siemens, or other BACnet Control Systems.
Education:
- High School Diploma and/or Trade School.
Beneficial Certificates:
- Niagara AX or N4, Distech EC-gfx, Siemens Desigo.
