Our client is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their team!
Overview:
Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities and initiating relationships with potential clients. BDRs play a key role in the sales process by identifying leads, qualifying prospects, and scheduling meetings or demos for the sales team. The position is critical in building the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential clients using various sources such as social media, online databases, and company directories.
Generate new leads through cold calling, emailing, networking, and social media outreach.
Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
Engage with inbound leads to assess their needs and qualify them as potential business opportunities.
- Ask pertinent questions to determine the client’s pain points, budget, and decision-making process.
- Set up meetings or calls between qualified prospects and account executives or senior salespeople.
- Record all sales activity, lead interactions, and follow-up tasks in CRM software.
- Track progress and update records to reflect current lead status.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product offerings.
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), such as the number of calls made, emails sent, and appointments scheduled.
- Consistently work toward monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sales Skills: Basic understanding of sales processes, especially in prospecting and lead generation.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot;knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated.
Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams.
Curiosity and Research Skills: Willingness to learn about the client’s business and industry trends.
Work Environment:
Frequent driving and travel between customers
