IT Dispatch/Project Coordinator– GTN Technical Staffing
We are looking for a reliable IT Dispatch / Project Coordinator to act as the central communication point between outsourced service technicians and our clients. You will receive new job requests, transmit messages, list jobs on a 3rd party platform, interview technicians who request listed work, and track technician arrival and departure from sites.
You need to be the type that adores being organized and controlling your environment. A working knowledge of Excel (and a willingness to learn more about using it) is vital to your success here. You must be able to remain calm and composed in escalated situations that arise. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
Your primary role is to fill short term dispatch roles requiring technicians for jobs shorter than 2 weeks, and to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information is provided.
Some general Dispatcher duties and responsibilities are:
Scheduling and dispatching techs via our tech pool to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to supervisors and clients (often fortune 500 accounts)
Using email, call, or text messages to contact employees to ensure they are onsite / have equipment.
Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services.
Lead calls/meetings with our Fortune 500 clients on where we stand in regard to work orders, project delivery, etc
Preparing work orders for techs or receiving work orders via request from client
Overseeing communications within company assigned territories/assigned clients.
Ensure all techs are vaccinated/have cleared background check and drug test prior to showing up onsite.
Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.
