Job Description


We are currently seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to join our Houston office. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your leadership skills and advance your career in a dynamic environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide structural design for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Perform structural wood, steel, and reinforced concrete calculations for building components, such as slabs, spread footings, and retaining walls.
  • Interpret and apply national codes and standards, including IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC.
  • Stay updated on new engineering techniques, processes, and standards (IMS).
  • Ensure effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used on all projects.
  • Resolve project issues and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
  • Contribute to a team environment through cooperative and supportive efforts.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of design codes (IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, AISC).
  • Licensed PE in Texas.
  • Proficiency in using analytical software, AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and project team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing work assignments quickly.

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in both residential and commercial engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Certificates & Licenses:
  • State of Texas Structural Engineer License required.
