Prophet 21 Business System Analyst

Job Description

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Prophet 21 (P21) Business Systems Analyst for a 6-12 month contract to support, enhance, and optimize their ERP system. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Prophet 21 development, system administration, user training, and reporting. This role will require hands-on work with DynaChange, SQL, Report Configuration, and other system customizations to improve business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for P21 users.
  • Customize and configure DynaChange screens, roles, and rules to improve workflows.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database configurations for performance and reporting needs.
  • Work with Crystal Reports, SSRS, or other reporting tools to configure and modify business reports.
  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to analyze business processes and recommend P21 enhancements.
  • Conduct user training sessions to improve adoption and efficiency within P21.
  • Assist with integrations and third-party software solutions related to Prophet 21.
  • Support upgrades, patches, and system testing to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Prophet 21 ERP (Development & Support).
  • Strong expertise in DynaChange (Screen Designer, Rules, Role Maintenance, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, views, performance tuning).
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS, or similar reporting tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, and user errors.
  • Excellent communication and end-user training skills.
  • Experience with API integrations and third-party add-ons for Prophet 21 is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Prophet 21 cloud migrations or on-prem to cloud transitions.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Background in business analysis, process improvement, or ERP project management.
Contract Details:
  • Duration: 6-12 months (potential for extension).
  • Work Environment: Remote
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
