Our client is seeking a Software Engineer III – to join our team.

Main responsibilities:
  • Work on a team to maintain, develop, test, deploy and maintain software for managing premium
  • video content in various environments.
  • Actively participate in designing solutions, documenting, testing and reviewing designs for
  • customer problems and new features.
  • Learn new things about our products, but also about current and emerging technologies. Step
  • outside of your comfort zone and be innovative and social!
  • Champion quality, security and best deployment practices.
  • Help us solidify and expand the capabilities of our product suite.
  • Bring your vision and brainpower into developing new algorithms, software, and better ways to

  • Proactively suggest changes to products, processes or internal tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Web server technologies such as Tomcat, Nginx, or Apache
  • Client/Server architecture
  • Familiar with SQL queries
  • Microservice and miniservice architectures
  • Experience using OpenSSL
  • Experience with Microsoft PlayReady, Apple Fairplay, and/or Google Widevine licensing
  • Node.Js, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Understanding and usage of containers (Docker is spoken here)
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Understanding of Digital Rights Management and/or Video Conditional Access Systems
  • Experience with git
  • Practice of Agile and Scrum methodology

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Required
  • 5+ years software engineering work experience, depending on position
  • Demonstrated experience using Object-oriented programming techniques

  • 5+ years C/C++ or Java depending on position (more than 1 language is a big plus)
  • Proficient in Linux based systems
  • Able to understand concepts of secure distributed systems and assure operational processes

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management, negotiation, and organization skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and working well under pressure.
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful and able to participate in a highly collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and assist on sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Ability to effectively interface with other departments, across all levels of the organization and with technology partners and potential partners and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Proficient with software/hardware/processes, i.E., Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, as well as the ability to learn other software programs as needed.
