About the Job
We are interviewing for full-time Air Quality Project Managers for our Houston, TX location. Candidates should have at least 7 years of air quality consulting experience, with at least 2 years as a Project Manager.
Position Overview
Our air quality team is expanding, and we seek to add a project manager to our collaborative and forward-thinking office culture. We prioritize hiring highly qualified professionals with exceptional technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Experience with air quality permitting and/or compliance for clients in the chemicals and refining sectors is preferred.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manage a variety of air quality projects, including:
- New source review (NSR), non-attainment NSR, and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permitting
- Title V permitting
- Regulatory air dispersion modeling using United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) recommended models (e.G., AERMOD)
- Emission calculations and emissions inventory development
- Best available control technology (BACT) assessments
- Regulatory applicability analyses for state, local, and federal regulations
- Managing a team of consultants administratively and for project work
- Ensuring quality control of personal work and managed projects
- Effective communication with external and internal customers
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients
- External promotion of services
Skills
We are a dynamic and entrepreneurial consulting firm seeking team members who demonstrate:
- Advanced understanding of relevant regulations and technical competencies
- Ability to mentor and train team members
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Professionalism in client and coworker relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and project-specific software (e.G., AERMOD, ArcGIS, TRI-ME)
- Understanding of engineering concepts such as chemical processes and emissions control technologies
Requirements
- B.S. Or above in engineering or a related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university
- Understanding of chemical processes and emissions control technologies
- High level of professional ethics
- Ability to perform fieldwork and occasional travel (less than 25%)
