Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer develops, maintains, and generates CMM programs used to inspect and verify production materials and components.
- Perform correlation to validate accuracy of program.
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Between 1-3 years of related experience
- Ideal to be proficient with CMM Manager program (Similar to PC-DMIS).
- Knowledge of ANSI/ASME, ISO, and GD&T.
- The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer works under moderate supervision.
- Visual Acuity: Able to pass Jaeger Test, near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine, blueprints, computer. Able to see color (able to pass one of the following tests: Pseudochromatic plates, Dvorine, Ishihara, Richmond, Farnsworth lantern, Keystone Orthoscope, Titmus vision tester, Titmus II Vision Tester, Titmus 2 Vision Tester.)
- Physical Demands: Stand, walks, push, pulls, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
- Working Conditions: Normally works in an inspection environment. Occasionally, the employee is subject to high noise levels from operating machines
