Overview:
A leading advanced aerospace program is seeking AS9100 / Part 23 Quality Engineers to support a high-visibility initiative focused on achieving FAA Part 23 Type Certification and Production Approval. This role is critical in building and implementing a scalable, audit-ready Quality Management System (QMS) that is fully integrated across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in aerospace regulatory compliance, quality systems, and production certification, contributing to a next-generation aviation platform within a highly regulated environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
•Support development and implementation of an AS9100-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) across engineering and manufacturing
•Ensure alignment with FAA Part 21 Subpart G Production Certification requirements
•Interpret and apply 14 CFR §21.137 and §21.138 Quality System regulations to production environments
•Utilize AC 21-43A guidance to support production approval and regulatory readiness
•Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to embed quality into all processes
•Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and audit frameworks
•Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with aerospace regulatory standards
•Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation strategies
•Ensure traceability, configuration control, and adherence to production quality requirements
•Identify and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions (CAPA)
•Contribute to building a production-ready, scalable quality infrastructure
What We’re Looking For:
•Strong experience with AS9100D Quality Management Systems in aerospace environments
•Hands-on experience supporting FAA Part 21 Subpart G Production Certification
•In-depth knowledge of 14 CFR §21.137 / §21.138 Quality System Requirements
•Familiarity with AC 21-43A Production Approval Guidance
•Experience integrating quality systems within engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations
•Proven ability to support regulatory audits, compliance initiatives, and certification efforts
•Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and risk management
•Strong understanding of configuration management, document control, and traceability
•Background in aerospace, aviation, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
•Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and evolving program environment
