AV System Integration / Design / Commissioning Engineer –Crestron Focus

ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking an AV System Integration / Design / Commissioning Engineer with a strong emphasis on Crestron software, including Crestron Toolbox and SIMPL Windows. This role involves designing, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting advanced AV systems, leveraging Crestron's technology for seamless integration and control.
Systems Design & Documentation
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather technical requirements and create detailed scopes of work.
Develop system schematics with a focus on Crestron control systems, including mounting plans, signal flow diagrams, and network/power layouts.
Prepare comprehensive equipment budgets, technical equipment lists for RFQs, and scheduling documents.
Utilize Crestron Toolbox to configure and test system devices during the design phase.
Provide post-installation client training and thorough documentation for Crestron-powered systems.
Installation and Integration
Oversee equipment installation and ensure compliance with system designs and specifications.
Program control systems using SIMPL Windows to deliver customized functionality.
Terminate, label, and document cables, ensuring all signal and control pathways are efficient and reliable.
Coordinate with various teams, including trades and external vendors, for smooth execution of projects.
Troubleshooting and Customer Support
Utilize Crestron Toolbox to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and control issues.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for installed AV systems, including Crestron control platforms.
Assist with physical installations, such as equipment mounting and cable dressing, in diverse environments.
Deliver ongoing system optimization and client support to ensure peak performance.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
4–7 years in the following skill sets…
Strong knowledge of AV system design and installation, including sound reinforcement, video distribution, and control systems.
AV system design and integration, with a focus on Crestron technology at one of your previous positions.
Expertise in Crestron Toolbox, SIMPL Windows, and Crestron hardware integration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, and MS Office Suite.
Experience designing and supporting DSP platforms and corporate AV systems.
Familiarity with equipment from Crestron, Extron, Samsung, Sony, and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied environments, including outdoor settings.
HIGHLY DESIRED
Certifications: Crestron Master Technology Architect (MTA), CTS-I, or CTS-D preferred.
