About the Job
We are interviewing for a full-time Air Quality Project Manager at our Denver location. Candidates should have at least 5 years of total air quality consulting experience and a minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the consulting field.
Position Overview
Our air quality team is growing, and we are looking to add a project manager to support the Rocky Mountain Region (remote work negotiable). This role will provide air quality consulting services to clients outside of the oil and natural gas industry. Preferred industry experience includes rail, cement plants, chemical plants, paintings and coatings, food and beverage, and others. Relocation assistance or remote work is an option for this role. Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of air quality projects, including but not limited to:
  • New source review (NSR), non-attainment NSR and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and Title V permitting.
  • Emission calculations and emissions inventory development.
  • Regulatory applicability analyses for local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Air quality compliance audits.
  • Quality control of personal work as well as projects being managed.
  • Effective communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Developing and maintaining trusting professional relationships with clients.
  • Business development activities to grow the Denver office and diversify our client base.
Skills
We are looking for team members who have demonstrated technical acumen and exceptional problem-solving abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills. Essential skills for this position include:
  • Advanced understanding of relevant regulations related to tasks, projects, and client operations.
  • Technical competencies necessary to solve complex permitting and compliance problems and to scope new projects accurately.
  • Strong analytical skills to complete all necessary project work and provide senior technical oversight.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Social skills and professionalism necessary to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (e.G., Word/Excel/Teams/SharePoint).
  • Understanding of software and tools applicable to projects (e.G., AERMOD, ArcGIS, AP-42, Promax, etc.).
Requirements
  • B.S. Or above from an accredited college or university in an engineering or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least 5 years of air quality consulting experience and 2 years of project management experience.
  • Understanding of engineering concepts such as chemical processes and emissions control technologies.
  • A high level of professional ethics.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork, including climbing staircases, walking or working on uneven surfaces, and lifting light loads.
  • This role may involve travel, expected to be less than 15%.
  • Remote work is negotiable if the candidate is willing to travel more often.
Compensation and Benefits
Per Colorado Pay Transparency Requirements (CEPA): This role is a salaried position with a typical range of $80, 000 - $100, 000 annually. Pay determinations are based on experience, skills, and performance.
