Job Description
Ancillary Marketing Specialist who is passionate about playing a critical role in the maintenance and growth of our organization. The Ancillary Marketing Specialist role is responsible for engaging with vendor and broker relationships to request, collect and review necessary information to support the quoting and renewal process, prepare the Requests for Proposal (RFP) for distribution to selected carriers, and manage the RFP timelines. Review carrier RFP responses, ensure accuracy of the submitted data, identify, and highlight plan deviations. The Ancillary Marketing Specialist will aggregate data and prepare a benefit and financial analysis to assist in carrier negotiations and formulation of an executive summary and client recommendations. Lastly, the Ancillary Marketing Specialist will communicate with internal teams in support of the book of business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with sales to develop and manage marketing initiatives for new and renewal accounts.
RFP preparation which includes reviewing and filing all prospect data, target pricing, network analysis, utilization review, submitting RFPs to the appropriate markets, negotiation, and preparation and review of client facing proposals/spreadsheet
Respond to client and carrier inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage accounts assigned in a timely manner ensuring internal/external compliance and deadlines are met.
Liaison between internal departments to provide communication and support to external stakeholders.
Plan, prioritize and complete day-to-day workload, considering new business, renewal business and day-to-day service responsibilities for the accounts assigned in a timely manner ensuring internal and external deadlines are met.
Initiate communication with Underwriting to prioritize objectives and assist in transition between field and home office.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
3+ years in group benefits with Ancillary line knowledge required (Life, Voluntary Life, STD, LTD, Dental, Vision, FMLA)

Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbally, with internal and external parties.
Proven ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage time and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
