Position: BAS Controls Programmer/Technician

Job Description:
The BAS Programmer/Technician will work as part of a team responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of DDC building automation systems. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.

Job Duties:
  • Manage installation subcontractors during the construction phase of projects to keep them on track and on schedule.
  • Create software programs and animated front-end graphics.
  • Perform checkout, start-up, and commissioning on projects.
  • Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
  • Be familiar with various hand and power tools.
  • Perform service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on building systems.
  • Coordinate customer training and complete closeout documents.
  • Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
  • Follow and perform other instructions and related duties as set forth by management.

Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience with DDC Building Automation Systems, BACnet, Siemens Apogee.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as needed.
  • Proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with IP networks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Years of Experience: 3-5 years with Siemens Systems

Education: High School Diploma and/or Trade School

Certificates Required: Siemens Apogee, PPCL
