A leader in building automation systems is currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. We provide automation solutions across various sectors, including military, specialized locations, and businesses of all sizes.
As part of our Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in project execution, collaborating with colleagues and managers to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities:
Design HVAC temperature control systems, lighting, and access control systems.
Take ownership of projects from start to finish, including kickoff, submittal drawings, and closeout.
Independently design complex projects with a focus on energy conservation.
Design controls for HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, heat recovery, and terminal units.
Design BAS systems for HVAC, lighting, and access control using Delta Controls.
Prepare cost estimates for control systems and manage project budgets.
Communicate with customers to gather key information and ensure the finished design meets their needs.
Collaborate with account managers on construction estimates and proposal writing.
Regularly update managers on progress, concerns, and project status.
Training and Development:
Utilize internal resources and training materials to enhance technical knowledge.
Gain expert knowledge of our Delta product line and associated control devices.
Collaborate with colleagues and managers on increasingly complex projects.
Desired Qualifications:
BS in mechanical engineering strongly encouraged, or 10+ years'experience in building control systems.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment specifications.
Working knowledge of DDC, electric, and pneumatic control systems.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
Preferred Credentials:
LEED GA/AP certification.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
Professional Engineer (PE) and association with ASHRAE.
Job Parameters:
On-site position with offices in Littleton (south of Denver) and Colorado Springs.
