Job Description

Summary:
We’re looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) experience to support a fast-growing, multi-location distribution company. This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing ERP-driven process improvements across departments including Purchasing, Sales, and Operations, and providing strong daily user support. Experience with Wireless Warehouse for P21 is a significant plus. You must be self-driven, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), ensuring the ERP supports business needs across all departments.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, particularly in the areas of Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and Inventory Management.

  • Provide day-to-day end-user support and training for over 200 users across 40 locations.

  • Lead or participate in the configuration, testing, and deployment of ERP enhancements and integrations, including Wireless Warehouse.

  • Analyze current and future business processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to improve performance and scalability.

  • Develop and execute test plans and user acceptance testing for ERP changes and upgrades.

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications;work closely with developers and vendors as needed.

  • Maintain detailed documentation including SOPs, functional workflows, and training materials.

  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives using tools like SQL and Power BI.

  • Manage or support projects using established project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
Qualifications:
Required:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP.

  • Experience supporting key business functions: Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse Management.

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst or ERP Analyst role with a distribution or multi-location business.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT teams, stakeholders, and end users.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including process documentation and workflow mapping.

  • Ability to write SQL queries and create simple reports or dashboards.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Wireless Warehouse for P21.

  • 3+ years of overall IT/business analyst experience.

  • Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
