Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of its enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence platform.

This individual will architect scalable data solutions, build modern ETL/ELT pipelines, and enable enterprise reporting through cloud-based data technologies. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Matillion, AWS Redshift, dimensional data modeling, and enterprise data warehousing best practices.

This role partners with business leaders, developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions that support strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.
  • Architect scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Matillion.
  • Build and optimize cloud-based data warehouse solutions utilizing AWS Redshift.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data architectures.
  • Design dimensional data models including Star Schemas and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
  • Map source system data into enterprise data warehouse structures.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and support ETL/ELT processes.
  • Build both batch and near real-time data integration pipelines.
  • Define metadata, data lineage, transformation logic, and ETL standards.
  • Integrate ERP and other enterprise applications into the data platform.
  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives using Power BI and other visualization platforms.
  • Troubleshoot production issues while continuously improving data quality and performance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs.
  • Evaluate emerging BI, cloud, and data engineering technologies to improve the enterprise analytics platform.
  • Promote best practices for data governance, architecture, security, and software delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse solutions.
  • Expert-level SQL development skills.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Matillion is required.
  • Strong experience with AWS Redshift is highly preferred.
  • Experience building modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise Data Warehouse architecture.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling including Star Schema design.
  • Experience with Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
  • Experience with row-level security and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Experience integrating ERP platforms (JD Edwards or similar ERP systems preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • AWS technologies including Redshift, EC2, and S3.
  • Python for data engineering and automation.
  • Experience with Power BI or other enterprise visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of Informatica, SSIS, ODI, or similar ETL technologies.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Background supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
