Job Description
Location: Plano, TX (in office on Wednesdays)
Contract to Hire Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and manage supplier performance, ensuring that the company's objectives are met.
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimize product offerings and pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for products.
- Monitor market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vendor contracts and agreements.
- Prepare and deliver detailed presentations to management and stakeholders, including necessary identification and compliance information.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a category management or procurement role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working in a retail or financial services environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier dynamics in the relevant category.
- Familiarity with vendor management systems and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in procurement processes.
