Job Title: Senior Concrete Estimator
Location:
- Primary: Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Inland Empire, California
- Secondary: Work from Jobsite and Corporate Office
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Concrete Estimator specializing in multi-story cast-in-place concrete structures to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating self-performed concrete work in California, with a deep understanding of man-hour production rates for various formwork systems and tasks. This role requires proficiency in several estimating software tools and the ability to work from both job sites and corporate offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and preliminary pricing for multi-story cast-in-place concrete structures across California.
- Analyze project documents to understand scope, determine quantities, and evaluate construction methods and project costs.
- Develop accurate cost estimates by utilizing historical data, production rates, and industry standards.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present them to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Utilize various software tools (Excel, WinEst, Cost-OS, Timberline Precision Estimating) for estimating tasks.
- Enhance estimating processes through Model-Based Estimating and other innovative techniques.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices in concrete construction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating self-performed multi-story cast-in-place concrete structures in California.
- Excellent understanding of man-hour production rates for various formwork systems, placing, and finishing tasks based on historical data.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, WinEst, Cost-OS, and Timberline Precision Estimating.
- Experience with PlanSwift / On-Screen Takeoff is a plus.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Estimating is a plus.
