Job Title: Dayforce Subject Matter Expert (SME) –Implementation & ConfigurationCompany OverviewOur client is a leading Oil & Gas industry organization committed to operational excellence through innovative HR technology solutions. We are seeking a seasoned Dayforce Subject Matter Expert to drive successful platform adoption and optimization.Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Dayforce Subject Matter Expert (SME) with proven hands-on consulting experience in Dayforce implementation and configuration projects. The ideal candidate has served as a trusted advisor on at least one full-lifecycle Dayforce deployment, guiding clients through requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.This is a part-time / contract / remote role.Key Responsibilities
- Lead Configuration & Customization: Configure Dayforce modules (e.G., HCM, Payroll, Workforce Management, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting) based on business requirements and best practices.
- Requirements & Gap Analysis: Facilitate workshops to elicit functional and technical requirements;perform fit-gap analysis against Dayforce standard functionality.
- End-to-End Implementation Support: Contribute to all project phases—discovery, design, build, test (SIT/UAT), training, deployment, and hypercare—drawing from prior Dayforce project experience.
- Data Migration & Integrations: Oversee data mapping, cleansing, and loading;configure integrations with upstream/downstream systems (e.G., ERP, time clocks, benefits carriers) using Dayforce Connect, APIs, or file-based methods.
- Testing & Validation: Develop test scenarios, scripts, and expected results;lead defect resolution and re-testing.
- Change Management & Training: Create user guides, deliver train-the-trainer sessions, and support organizational change management.
- Post-Go-Live Optimization: Identify enhancement opportunities, configure new features during upgrades, and provide Tier 3 support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, Payroll, IT, Finance) and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Dayforce Consulting Experience: Direct involvement as a consultant or lead configurator on at least one full Dayforce implementation project (from blueprint to go-live).
- Module Expertise: Deep configuration knowledge in core Dayforce modules including Payroll (including tax filing), Workforce Management (scheduling, time & attendance), and HCM.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Dayforce configuration tools (Business Rules, Workflow, Calculated Fields, Security Roles).
- Experience with Dayforce Data Load Tools, Report Writer, and Advanced Reporting.
- Familiarity with integration methods (Dayforce API, SFTP, Boomi, etc.).
- Project Methodology: Demonstrated experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery frameworks;PMP or Prosci certification is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Multiple Dayforce implementations across industries.
- Experience with Dayforce Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, or Compensation modules.
- Knowledge of global payroll configurations and multi-country deployments.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management;ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable solutions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
