**Job Description: Director of Operations**

**Primary Purpose:**
We are seeking an experienced operational leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement operational structures, KPIs, and SOPs in an assembly-based manufacturing environment. The Director of Operations will be part of the executive leadership team, strategizing and developing plans to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement processes and structures to meet productivity, quality, and delivery goals.
- Create a change environment while protecting organizational culture.
- Establish a robust scheduling system and develop mitigation strategies when KPIs are off track.
- Ensure a commitment to safety, housekeeping, and customer experience.
- Set strategic goals for optimizing quality, cost, and delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers to track and report financial and operational KPIs.

**Major Duties:**
- Oversee managers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Develop and monitor department and cross-functional metrics and goals.
- Ensure accuracy of labor and material reporting.
- Work closely with other department directors.
- Oversee Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Shipping & Receiving, and Facilities Management.
- Liaise with department heads for operational compliance.
- Evaluate and improve systems and processes.
- Ensure safety and quality measures are upheld.
- Identify and build staffing concepts and actionable plans.
- Reduce costs in production and manufacturing.
- Optimize business workflows and seek efficiencies.
- Maximize production rates without compromising quality.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
- Manage Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Shipping & Receiving, and Facilities Management.

**Minimum Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 5-10 years’experience in Operations Management.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in an assembly-based manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with scheduling and capacity planning systems.
- Knowledge of automation and manufacturing processes.

**Skills/Qualifications:**
- Strong understanding of operational processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Self-motivated with a flexible attitude.
- Strong computer and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.
- Positive and supportive attitude.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs;occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color determination.
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear;occasionally bend, twist, climb, kneel, and balance.
- Occasional exposure to production environments.
- Comply with safety and PPE requirements.

**Work Environment:**
- Occasionally work in outside weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- Noise level usually quiet to moderate.

**Travel Requirements:**
- Approximately 10% travel within a 400-mile radius of Milwaukee, with occasional overnight travel.
