Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Create detailed electrical system designs for school buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Develop and implement fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and fire alarms in school facilities.
- Coordinate with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure the quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all designs and installations meet local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Implement best practices for safety and efficiency in electrical system design and installation.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating potential hazards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, project plans, and inspection reports.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on designing systems for educational or similar facilities.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
