Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Epicor Developer for a remote contract engagement. This role will focus on the development and optimization of dashboards, KPIs, and financial metrics using Power BI, with a strong emphasis on SQL and Epicor Kinetic (Data Discovery). The ideal candidate will be a data-savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize financial and operational data.

  • Define and build custom KPIs and financial metrics using data sourced from Epicor Kinetic and SQL Server.

  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and interface data between Epicor, SQL, and Power BI.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and optimize data workflows.

  • Leverage Epicor Kinetic Data Discovery tools to identify trends, create ad hoc reports, and support decision-making.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across reporting platforms.
Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (preferably Kinetic version).

  • Demonstrated expertise in Power BI dashboard/report development and performance tuning.

  • Proficient in SQL Server and query development for data modeling and extraction.

  • Experience working with Epicor Data Discovery tools and data models.

  • Strong understanding of financial and operational metrics within manufacturing or distribution environments.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote work setting.

  • Must be responsive and be able to hit deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Epicor BAQs, BPMs, and Epicor REST API.

  • Prior consulting or contract experience in manufacturing or ERP-heavy industries.

  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative project methodologies.
