Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced ERP Systems Administrator to support and optimize a complex Epicor ERP environment spanning nine business units across the organization. The company is currently operating Epicor ERP 10 (on-premise) and is preparing for a strategic migration to Epicor Kinetic Cloud.
This role is ideal for a hands-on ERP professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys partnering with users and leadership teams, and possesses strong technical expertise in Epicor administration, SQL Server, and ERP infrastructure. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the ERP team, helping maintain a stable and scalable environment while supporting the organization's ERP modernization initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesEpicor ERP Administration
- Administer and support Epicor ERP 10 and future Epicor Kinetic Cloud environments.
- Manage Epicor ICE Framework configurations, security, user access, and system settings.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support ERP operations across nine business units with varying business processes and requirements.
- Coordinate and execute system upgrades, patching, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure ERP system availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Participate in the organization's migration from Epicor ERP 10 on-premise to Kinetic Cloud.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners during planning, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Assist with data validation, environment readiness, issue resolution, and user adoption efforts.
- Help identify opportunities to leverage new Kinetic functionality and best practices.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting Epicor ERP.
- Perform database monitoring, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and system bottlenecks.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Support reporting and data extraction requirements as needed.
- Manage Development, Test, Training, and Production environments.
- Maintain ERP security, user roles, permissions, and compliance standards.
- Oversee system backups, patch management, and environment maintenance.
- Monitor integrations and interfaces between Epicor and other business systems.
- Serve as a trusted ERP resource for business users across multiple locations and departments.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution of support requests.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT teams to improve business processes.
- Assist with user training, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of Epicor ERP administration experience.
- Strong experience supporting Epicor ERP 10 and/or Epicor Kinetic environments.
- Hands-on experience with Epicor ICE Framework administration.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration and performance tuning experience.
- Experience managing ERP upgrades, patches, backups, security, and environment administration.
- Proven ability to support multiple business units and diverse user groups.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-business-unit manufacturing organizations.
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic Cloud implementations or migrations.
- Knowledge of BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, SSRS, and Epicor reporting tools.
- Experience with cloud technologies and SaaS applications.
- Manufacturing and distribution industry experience.
- Team-first mindset with a willingness to collaborate across departments.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build relationships with users at all levels of the organization.
- Effective communicator capable of translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) No Sponsorship at this time, must be GC or USC at the time of employment.
