Job Description

Project Overview:
We are seeking a contract Epicor Eclipse Developer to assist with a short-term integration and data extraction project in collaboration with one of our customers and the Blue Ridge supply chain platform. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Eclipse ERP (Epicor), including API integrations and PICK programming, and will be responsible for designing and delivering performant data extraction solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • System Familiarization: Gain an in-depth understanding of the customer’s Eclipse system environment.

  • API Development:

    • Utilize Eclipse-exposed APIs to build robust and scalable data extracts.

    • Use Python or another preferred programming language to demonstrate and test API capabilities.

    • Execute performance tests using high-volume datasets.

  • PICK Programming:

    • Build two data extracts using PICK: one for a standard object and one for a custom object.

    • Develop a process to replicate a "Saved Search"-like functionality for selected tables from the Blue Ridge Technical Guide Book (TGB).

  • Documentation and Architecture:

    • Estimate one-time effort for standard extract script development.

    • Provide a rough estimate for customizing a Blue Ridge connector for a specific customer.

    • Deliver all scripts, technical documentation, and implementation steps.

    • Create and document an architecture diagram detailing data flow between Eclipse and Blue Ridge using Apache NiFi as middleware, including both read and write-back processes.
Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong development experience with Epicor Eclipse ERP.

  • Hands-on experience with Eclipse APIs and data integration.

  • Proficiency with PICK programming language.

  • Experience building data extracts and working with high-volume data sets.

  • Proficient in Python or similar scripting languages.

  • Experience with Apache NiFi or similar middleware tools.

  • Familiarity with ERP-to-SCM integrations, especially with platforms like Blue Ridge.

  • Ability to clearly document code, technical architecture, and processes.
Deliverables:

  1. API-based extract scripts with scalability considerations.

  2. PICK-based extract scripts for both standard and custom Eclipse objects.

  3. Full documentation of scripts, approach, and estimated effort levels.

  4. Architecture diagram showing data flow to/from Eclipse and Blue Ridge using NiFi.
