Job Description


Our client is preparing to upgrade from Epicor ERP 10 to Kinetic (on-premises) for a two-location operation under a single company. We are seeking a hands-on Epicor Technical-Functional Consultant with a strong background in Shipping, Planning, MES, MRP, and Finance to lead this upgrade initiative.

This role requires deep Epicor expertise, cross-functional process understanding, and a proven ability to guide clients through complex upgrades while optimizing business performance and accounting automation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Epicor 10 to Kinetic (on-premises) upgrade, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-upgrade stabilization.

  • Analyze, migrate, and optimize existing BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, and Customizations for compatibility and efficiency in Kinetic.

  • Evaluate and enhance integrations between Epicor and external systems.

  • Implement accounting automation and process improvements across AP, AR, and GL.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to improve and align workflows in key functional areas:

    • Shipping and Logistics –streamline order fulfillment and carrier integration.

    • Production Planning & Scheduling –optimize resource allocation and production flow.

    • MES (Manufacturing Execution System) –ensure accurate shop floor data capture and real-time reporting.

    • MRP (Material Requirements Planning) –improve demand forecasting and material flow.

    • Finance –enhance reporting, reconciliation, and automation within the financial modules.

  • Manage data migration, validation, and reconciliation through all phases of the upgrade.

  • Provide training and documentation to IT and business users to ensure system adoption and stability.

  • Maintain system performance, reliability, and security in the upgraded on-premises environment.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct experience with Epicor ERP (Epicor 10 and Kinetic).

  • Proven success in Epicor upgrade projects, particularly from 10.X to Kinetic (on-premises).

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, and Customizations

    • SSRS Reports, SQL, and Data Integrations

    • Epicor REST API and Service Connect

  • Deep functional understanding of Shipping, Planning, MES, MRP, and Finance modules.

  • Strong knowledge of multi-site configuration and process standardization.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Contract Details

  • Type: Independent Contractor (W-2 or 1099)

  • Duration: 3–6 months (with possible extension)

  • Start Date: January 2026

  • Location: Primarily remote with occasional on-site travel

  • Hours: Full-time commitment during the project period
Preferred Experience

  • Prior Epicor 10 →Kinetic upgrade experience (2021 or later versions)

  • Familiarity with Epicor Automation Studio, Power BI, or other integration/analytics tools

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
