Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Syteline Infor ERP Administrator to join our IT team. This role blends ERP system administration, SQL Server database management, and software development, while also providing backup coverage for ERP support specialists. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to maintain, upgrade, and support mission-critical enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Administration (Infor Syteline)
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Infor Syteline ERP system.
- Perform ERP upgrades, uplifts, and patching to ensure system reliability and compliance.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage ERP security, user roles, and access.
- Partner with business stakeholders to optimize ERP workflows.
SQL Server Database Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Execute backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes.
- Enhance performance through indexing, tuning, and query optimization.
- Implement and manage database security and access controls.
- Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
Software Development & Integration
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications, reports, and integrations for ERP and related systems.
- Work with tools and languages such as Mongoose and C#.
- Support ETL processes, data migration, and integrations across platforms.
ERP Support & Backup Coverage
- Provide backup support to ERP specialists by resolving user issues.
- Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Assist with training and end-user support as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on Infor Syteline ERP administration.
- 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience (C#, .NET, SQL, or equivalent).
- Proven success in ERP upgrades, uplifts, and patching.
- Strong expertise in T-SQL and database performance optimization.
- Experience with ERP integrations, reporting, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and IT security practices.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
- Knowledge of Infor ION, Mongoose, or related Infor technologies.
- Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or other reporting/ETL tools.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted ERP and virtualization technologies.

- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical users.
Work Environment & Reporting
- Reports to: IT Manager / Director of Information Systems
