Overview
A large enterprise organization is seeking an Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence and Email Security to support and enhance its enterprise-wide cybersecurity program. This role focuses on monitoring external threats, analyzing cyber intelligence, and securing enterprise email environments, while collaborating across security teams to mitigate risk and strengthen defenses.

The ideal candidate brings experience in cyber threat intelligence, email security platforms, and incident response, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing emerging threats.



Core ResponsibilitiesThreat Intelligence & Monitoring
  • Monitor the external threat landscape to identify emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Analyze and process cyber threat intelligence feeds to identify risks impacting the organization
  • Track and assess organization-specific threats identified by third parties
  • Provide actionable recommendations for threat mitigation and remediation
Incident Response & Security Operations
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support threat hunting, detection, and response activities
  • Track, manage, and follow up on open security issues and remediation efforts
  • Participate in security exercises and incident response simulations
Email Security & Systems Administration
  • Support the configuration and security of enterprise email systems and mail flow
  • Work with security leadership to review and enhance email security architecture and controls
  • Assist in managing email security platforms (e.G., filtering, anti-phishing, anti-malware)
  • Develop and refine alerts and detection rules related to email threats and phishing campaigns
  • Provide backup support for email security leadership/architecture functions as needed
Security Tools & Infrastructure
  • Manage, maintain, and support security tools, servers, and applications
  • Ensure proper functionality and optimization of cybersecurity platforms and monitoring systems
  • Contribute to tooling improvements and automation initiatives
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Support the ongoing development and improvement of the information security program
  • Participate in vendor risk management and security assessments
  • Conduct periodic reviews of security processes, controls, and compliance adherence
  • Help define and improve security policies, standards, and procedures



Qualifications & ExperienceExperience
  • 2+ years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, or information security analysis
  • 2+ years of experience managing or supporting enterprise email systems and mail flow
  • Hands-on experience with email security platforms (e.G., Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, or similar)
  • Experience investigating and responding to security incidents and threats
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.G., CISSP, GSEC, or similar)
Technical Competencies
  • Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence frameworks and threat analysis methodologies
  • Experience with email security filtering, phishing detection, and malware protection systems
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, security monitoring platforms, and incident response workflows
  • Knowledge of network security, system administration, and enterprise IT environments
  • Experience with security tools configuration, maintenance, and optimization
