Insurance Authorization Specialist
HIGHLIGHTS
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85006 –fully onsite position
Position Type: Contract role (4 months potentially longer with possible conversion)
Hourly / Salary: BOE
Residency Status: US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY
Our client is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist with two years experience. Criminal background check and drug screen required.
Job Description
Collects, verifies, and communicates necessary information with clients'insurance carrier to obtain diagnostic and behavioral health benefits and prior authorization requirements.
-Verifies member plan eligibility and behavioral health benefits
-Completes an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
-Ensures payment for services by verifying benefits with insurance provider
-Works with insurance providers to ensure that any changes made to the authorization request or referral forms have been submitted
Standard in office hours 8-5. Will work in a group of 4 to 5.
Experience/Skills: At least two years of Insurance authorization experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer candidate to have worked in Behavioral / Mental health environments. Extra plus if you have worked in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) environment. Criminal background check and drug screen required. Must have excellent customer services skills.
