Our client is looking for a Machine Shop Deburr Operator to join their team!
Job Description:
Under general supervision, an employee performs routine deburring and miscellaneous machine shop duties requiring little job knowledge, skill or discretion in selecting work methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs regular factory work such as deburring, parts cleaning, and honing.
- Deburrs parts using vibration and tumbler deburring equipment.
- Could require operating a bandsaw.
- Performs regular manual tasks.
- Ensures that output normally equals or exceeds that expected.
- Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work.
- Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards.
- Accomplishes production quotas.
- Working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required.
- Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner.
- Ability to react to change productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
- Ability to acquire proficient knowledge of deburring methods.
- Adequate manual dexterity to safely and proficiently remover burrs from parts utilizing vibrating and tumbling deburring equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to work with a number sequence.
- Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions.
- Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability.
Experience:
- 6 months prior machine shop experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
