Position Summary:
This position supports Operations Department objectives by keeping production equipment operating efficiently as well as directing and coordinating activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and utility systems by performing the following duties:
Position Responsibilities:
Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Reviews job orders to determine maintenance work priorities in production.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Directs workers and contractors engaged in buildings and grounds maintenance activities.
Plans for additional resources;Sets goals and objectives;Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks;Develops realistic action plans.
Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance staff.
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Plans, develops, and implements new maintenance methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
Planning, assigning, and directing work;addressing complaints and resolving problems;and training employees;appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, the individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability to operate a forklift.
Technical knowledge as required to repair various equipment, buildings and vehicles.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. Maximum.
A current Arizona State driver’s license.
