Our client is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team!

Job Description: 

Under general supervision, the employee is responsible for administration and performance of maintenance activities and facilities upkeep to ensure safety and adherence to all pertinent city and state codes. General duties within the department include Administration of company policies;employee training;quality and continuous improvement of departmental operations and processes;establishing departmental objectives and plans in accordance with company goals;and implementation of departmental plans. Also requires ownership of a robust Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure all equipment is operating efficiently with proper back-up plans through cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage all maintenance operations, either directly or through subordinates, for the purpose of meeting company production, delivery, quality, cost, and safety objectives.
  • Coordinates maintenance schedules with other departments and supervisors so that maintenance schedules and production schedules are not in conflict.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance;rewarding;and disciplining employees;addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Advises Operations Leadership of schedules and problems.
  • Responsible for safe handling, compliance, record keeping, and permit requirements for all city, state, and federal laws regarding storage, transportation and recycling of hazardous materials.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of sprinkler and fire extinguisher systems.
  • Keeps all electrical equipment, such as wiring, motors, switches, and electrical mechanisms in good repair.
  • Serves as member of Company’s Safety Committee.
  • Interact with various departments as necessary in various support areas.
  • Plan and administer procedures and work instructions for department in accordance with company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Perform tasks equal to or exceeding standards.
  • Accomplishes production quotas.
  • Working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner.
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Accommodate any other duties as assigned and necessary for the business.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
  • Superior knowledge of all Maintenance Department operations
  • Ability to motivate and direct subordinates and is approachable/easy to work with
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to safely and proficiently utilization of a
  • Proficient experience in general maintenance and repairs.
  • Proficient understanding of mechanics.
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company.
  • Manual dexterity to safely and proficiently operate a large variety of tooling, including specific tools designed for specific pieces of equipment;electric, power and hand tools as required. Ability to safely and proficiently operate company office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, calculators, and personal computers.
  • Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions.
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability.

Experience:
  • Acquired eight or more years’maintenance experience and at least three years’supervisory experience
     
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
