Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize aerospace manufacturing processes supporting complex structural and precision components. This role requires hands-on experience in aerospace fabrication, CNC machining, welding, and forming operations, along with strong capabilities in process engineering, manufacturing process development, and cross-functional production support within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work instructions, Manufacturing Operation Travelers (MOTs), setup sheets, routers, and comprehensive process plans to support aerospace manufacturing operations
- Design, validate, and optimize CNC machining processes for complex aerospace fabrications and assemblies
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles when reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Develop and implement tooling and fixture design solutions, including work holding, gauges, and cutting tool selection
- Support brake press operations, CNC punching, laser cutting, hydroforming, CNC lathe and mill machining, and welding processes
- Analyze nonconformances and perform root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing and quality issues
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and cost-reduction efforts
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and aerospace standards
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and controlled process records
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, including fabrication, welding, forming, machining, and processing
- 2+ years of experience developing machining processes for complex aerospace assemblies
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with brake presses, CNC punching, laser cutting, hydroforming, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and welding
- Proficiency in CAD modeling using SolidWorks with Mastercam experience preferred
- Experience working with complex aerospace materials and OEM manufacturing requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing engineering experience
Additional Requirements
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
