Overview
A leading professional services organization is seeking a Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Technology Manager to oversee and optimize a portfolio of marketing technology platforms, digital experience tools, and analytics systems. This role is responsible for ensuring effective execution of digital marketing workflows, SEO strategy, performance analytics, and visual communications, while maintaining strong platform governance, data quality, and user adoption.
This position combines team leadership, platform ownership, and cross-functional collaboration, partnering with stakeholders across marketing, business development, IT, analytics, and external vendors to deliver a data-driven, integrated marketing technology ecosystem.
Core ResponsibilitiesPlatform Management & Workflow Optimization
- Oversee day-to-day management of marketing technology platforms supporting website experience, email marketing, SEO, and analytics workflows
- Optimize digital engagement processes, campaign execution workflows, and content delivery systems
- Ensure alignment with usability, accessibility, branding, and performance measurement standards
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, workflow gaps, and operational risks
- Manage and develop team members supporting digital experience, analytics, and visual communications
- Drive work prioritization, resource allocation, and project delivery timelines
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality marketing and business development outputs
- Lead SEO strategy, website optimization, and digital performance initiatives
- Oversee marketing analytics, KPI tracking, dashboard reporting, and data visualization
- Enable stakeholders to leverage data-driven insights for campaign optimization and decision-making
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of marketing performance data and reporting frameworks
- Support taxonomy design, metadata management, and content classification frameworks
- Maintain data governance standards, data integrity, and system consistency across platforms
- Collaborate with IT on system integrations, API development, and data architecture
- Contribute to data lake initiatives and structured data accessibility for marketing insights
- Act as a liaison between marketing, business development, IT, analytics teams, and external vendors
- Support rollout and adoption of new marketing technologies, tools, and platforms
- Align marketing technology initiatives with broader digital transformation and business strategies
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and user guides for marketing platforms
- Drive user enablement, training programs, and self-service capabilities
- Support platform governance, testing, and implementation of enhancements
- Manage vendor relationships, project timelines, budgeting, and performance tracking
- Promote adoption of standardized tools, templates, and best practices
Qualifications & ExperienceExperience
- 6+ years of experience in marketing technology, digital platforms, or business development systems
- Experience managing teams, complex workflows, or cross-functional initiatives
- Background in professional services or similarly complex, matrixed environments preferred
- Marketing technology platforms, including CMS, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools
- SEO, website optimization, and digital marketing performance analytics
- Data visualization, reporting tools, and dashboard development
- Taxonomy frameworks, metadata management, and data governance principles
- System integrations, APIs, and marketing data ecosystems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new tools quickly
- Strong leadership, team management, and employee development capabilities
- Advanced project management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influence skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
