Our manufacturing client is expanding and building a new plant in south Texas. This role is be the go to person for Network Administration. This role is good for someone with a can-do attitude and has experience in a start-up environment. This is a direct hire role and the individual must be willing to be on-site and live in the area or relocate prior to starting.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Maintain computer networks and systems, including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
Monitor computer systems to improve network performance.
Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from system inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a related field.
Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco network professional preferred.
A minimum of two years'experience as a network specialist.
Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to visit client locations.
Availability to perform network repairs outside of business hours.
Experience with network setup, especially in a startup environment, is highly desirable.
SAP experience is a plus.
Additional Information:
This role involves being the only network professional on-site
You will be supporting 100-150 employees (currently at 16) in a new manufacturing plant.
Experience with WAN/LAN
Reporting to the Controller, and temporarily to the General Manager until the Controller is hired.
