Network Security Engineer (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer for a 6-month contract. You will be working to enhance and protect our network's integrity and confidentiality. As an integral part of our network defense, focusing on SDWAN, Network Segmentation, ZeroTrust, and ensuring compliance with NERC CIP & TSA pipeline regulations for both on-premises and cloud systems.

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer for a 6-month contract. You will be working to enhance and protect our network's integrity and confidentiality. As an integral part of our network defense, focusing on SDWAN, Network Segmentation, ZeroTrust, and ensuring compliance with NERC CIP & TSA pipeline regulations for both on-premises and cloud systems.
Day to Day
- Implement and maintain Secure SDWAN, focusing on performance, reliability, and security
- Develop and implement network segmentation strategies to ensure the secure separation of networks
- Work with ZeroTrust security models to provide least privilege access across our network
- Ensure compliance with NERC CIP & TSA pipeline regulations, including regular reporting and audits
- Securely manage onpremises and cloud systems, implementing security measures and protocols
- Administer, configure, and maintain Cisco and Fortinet network devices
- Collaborate with other security and network team members, ensuring the best practices are always followed
- Proven experience with SDWAN, Network Segmentation, ZeroTrust, and regulatory compliance (specifically NERC CIP & TSA pipeline)
- Handson experience with Cisco and Fortinet network devices
- Knowledge of both onpremises and cloud systems security
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain open communication with senior management
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other network security certifications are preferred
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adhere to tight deadlines
