Our client is looking for an Project Engineer to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering design/duties, including, but not limited to:
- Assist with the production and/or review of construction plans for various projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal infrastructure design.
- Proficient with reviewing/preparing alignments, water and sanitary networks, and profiles
- Perform site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction when directed
- Review a full set of construction documents with oversight from the Project Manager
- Prepare and design a full set of construction documents with support from Project Manager
- Coordinate project design with outside consultants and architects
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid specifications for CIP projects
- Confirm quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and specifications for design performed by outside consultants
- Perform site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction, as needed
- Maintain project documentation
- Assist in developing and tracking of security deposits for land development projects
- Communicate and maintain good communication with coworkers, consultants, municipalities, and developers
- Perform quantity takeoffs, shop drawing review, and prepare bid specifications for CIP projects
- Perform quality control reviews of design projects
- Present projects to clients, agencies, municipalities, and the general public
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (if possible)
- 1-2 years of water/wastewater experience
- Excellent time management skills, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software
