Job Description


GTN is seeking a Prophet 21 Functional Analyst to support, enhance, and optimize Epicor Prophet 21 ERP across multiple business units. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, configuring the system to align with organizational needs, and acting as the liaison between IT and functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong ERP knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on Prophet 21 experience within distribution, supply chain, or product-based industries.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21 ERP, supporting modules such as:

    • Materials Management (Inventory & Purchasing)

    • Sales & Order Management

    • Warehouse Management

    • Financial Management

    • CRM

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Configure and optimize Prophet 21 to improve workflows, efficiency, and reporting.

  • Provide troubleshooting, end-user support, and issue resolution.

  • Develop documentation, training materials, and conduct end-user training sessions.

  • Support ERP upgrades, patches, and integrations with third-party applications.

  • Collaborate with developers and external partners to design and deliver system enhancements.

  • Contribute to data governance, data quality, and reporting initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 in a functional/analyst capacity.

  • Strong understanding of ERP processes in distribution, supply chain, and product-driven industries.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data queries and analysis.

  • Experience with ERP integrations and business rules.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with EDI transactions and integrations.

  • Background in process improvement or ERP system optimization projects.

  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Prophet 21 environments.

This is a Direct Hire role for a client we are working with;no sponsorship is offered at this time. Local candidates only at this time. This is a Hybrid role 3 days per week on-site.
