Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. Reporting to the Director of Security Architecture, this role focuses on selecting, deploying, and managing security tools to proactively reduce the organization's attack surface. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with security platforms, scripting, and vulnerability management across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This position plays a critical part in securing infrastructure, applications, and endpoints across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Tool Selection & Implementation: Evaluate, implement, and manage best-in-class security tooling for vulnerability management, cloud security, endpoint protection, and network monitoring.

Attack Surface Reduction: Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, prioritize risks, and implement technical solutions to mitigate exposure across systems.

Tool Integration & Automation: Develop scripts and automate workflows to integrate tools into security operations and CI/CD pipelines, enhancing efficiency and detection capabilities.

Security Monitoring: Continuously tune and monitor tools to ensure optimal configuration, performance, and threat detection coverage.

Vulnerability Management: Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to manage identified vulnerabilities, facilitate patching, and promote secure configurations.

Data Correlation & Reporting: Analyze and correlate attack surface data to identify trends and generate reports highlighting security posture and risk reduction progress.

Incident Response Support: Assist in investigations and response activities by leveraging deployed tools to uncover exploited vulnerabilities or gaps.

Documentation & Metrics: Maintain documentation for tool configurations, procedures, and workflows;deliver clear metrics to stakeholders on tool effectiveness and program maturity.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current on evolving security threats, technologies, and best practices;recommend new tools or enhancements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

4+ years in a Security or Infrastructure Engineering role.

Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanners (e.G., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS) and cloud security tools (e.G., Wiz, Prisma Cloud), including native cloud security features in AWS and Azure.

Deep understanding of security tooling integration across on-premises and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
-
Familiarity with Kubernetes security and DevSecOps tooling within CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency with enterprise networking concepts including DNS, firewall management, and traffic analysis.

Experience with Microsoft 365 E5, Azure, and AWS environments.

Experience with container security and vulnerability management solutions.

Relevant certifications (e.G., CISSP, CISM, Azure Security, AWS Security) or the ability to obtain them.
