Overview:
The Ads Engineering team builds core infrastructure to support ethical, privacy-forward advertising across our client’s products. Focused on an internal inventory and forecasting platform —a centralized system that replaces the manual, error-prone spreadsheets used by our client’s AdsOperations and Sales teams with a scalable, data-rich interface. It provides real-time visibility into advertising inventory, campaign pacing, revenue, and performance. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of our client’s platform, designing and implementing critical infrastructure to connect other internal and 3rdparty systems. You’ll work across the stack to improve data accuracy, automation, and usability, enabling faster, more informed decision-making by stakeholders across the advertising lifecycle.

Overview:
The Ads Engineering team builds core infrastructure to support ethical, privacy-forward advertising across our client’s products. Focused on an internal inventory and forecasting platform —a centralized system that replaces the manual, error-prone spreadsheets used by our client’s AdsOperations and Sales teams with a scalable, data-rich interface. It provides real-time visibility into advertising inventory, campaign pacing, revenue, and performance. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of our client’s platform, designing and implementing critical infrastructure to connect other internal and 3rdparty systems. You’ll work across the stack to improve data accuracy, automation, and usability, enabling faster, more informed decision-making by stakeholders across the advertising lifecycle.
What you’ll do:
- Design and implement scalable backend services and data integrations that power real-time inventory insights and campaign management workflows in our client’s application.
- Build and extend user-facing dashboards using React and Django, ensuring Ad Ops, Sales, and Finance teams can effectively plan, monitor, and optimize campaigns.
- Integrate upstream data from our client’s CRM and BigQuery, and enable downstream actions such as automated campaign adjustments in our client’s Ad Server.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Ad Ops, Sales, and Data Science to translate business processes into resilient software systems.
- Help translate product and engineering strategy into actionable tasks and early prototypes, providing feedback where appropriate.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of overall software engineering experience
- Proven ability to successfully lead and ship complex software projects
- Experience in backend development using Python (Django preferred) and experience working with modern frontend frameworks like React
- Familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, and large-scale system integrations —experience with BigQuery, Looker, or Kevel is a plus
- Comfort working across disciplines to turn ambiguous workflows into structured software, with strong asynchronous communication skills
- An interest and ability to work in a distributed, cross-functional environment (which requires good asynchronous written communication skills as well as good verbal communication skills)
