Job Description


Overview:
GTN Technical Staffing is partnering with a leading Defense and Space Manufacturing client to hire a skilled Network Engineer for a full-time direct hire opportunity. This individual will own the network environment, providing end-to-end oversight of design, implementation, security, and support. The role is primarily remote, with periodic travel required to five U.S. Locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the enterprise network environment, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
  • Design, configure, and support network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, and firewall environments.
  • Implement, manage, and troubleshoot Prisma, Palo Alto, and Cisco routers and switches. 
  • Develop and enforce firewall security policies and best practices.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and GCC environment networking and security standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align networking strategies with business objectives.
  • Travel to five designated client locations to provide onsite support, deployment, and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in owning/leading enterprise network environments.
  • Strong expertise with Prisma, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and firewall management.
  • Experience in secure network design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with DoD or GCC environment requirements is a plus but not needed.
  • Relevant certifications (e.G., CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, NSE, Security+, CISSP) are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for DoD environment).
  • Ability to pass a drug test and Background check.
