Job Title: Storage Engineer
Location: Onsite –Irving, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Compensation: $140, 000 –$180, 000 annually
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Storage Engineer to join our client's IT Infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise storage systems and related server infrastructure. The role requires deep technical expertise in modern storage technologies, strong systems-level architecture knowledge, and a proactive approach to performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain enterprise storage systems including SAN, NAS, and object storage platforms

Design and implement scalable storage solutions that meet performance and availability objectives

Monitor storage and server environments to ensure reliability, security, and capacity optimization

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across storage, server, and networking components

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and system integrations

Automate operational tasks and support infrastructure-as-code practices

Maintain documentation for system architecture, procedures, and best practices
Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage and systems;5–10 years total IT experience

Expertise with storage platforms such as VAST, Dell EMC, or Lustre

Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments

Familiarity with network protocols related to storage (e.G., iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel)

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.G., VMware, Hyper-V)

Scripting capabilities using Python, Bash, or PowerShell (preferred)

Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam or Commvault (preferred)

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid storage architectures (preferred)

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
