As a Tax Manager in our High-Net-Worth practice, you’ll work closely with individuals and families to help them thoughtfully transition wealth across generations. You’ll partner with clients, advisors, and internal teams to solve complex tax and estate challenges while mentoring the next generation of tax professionals.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
Your days will blend technical depth, client strategy, and leadership, including:
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofits
- Evaluating tax positions across individuals, trusts, and estates to uncover planning opportunities and optimize outcomes
- Leading and reviewing work prepared by staff to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery
- Collaborating directly with clients on wealth transition strategies: covering cash flow, income distribution, business succession, and estate preservation
- Interpreting estate planning and legal documents tied to trust and succession planning
- Researching complex tax, trust, and estate matters and translating findings into clear, actionable guidance
- Coaching, developing, and recognizing team members to help them grow with confidence
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients by proactively identifying solutions that add real value
- Supporting business development efforts through client conversations, proposal support, industry research, and networking events
Who you are:
You’re a seasoned tax professional who enjoys complexity, collaboration, and client impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an active CPA license, law degree, or EA certification
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate tax work
- Strong foundation in tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
- Deep experience in individual income tax and estate planning
- Exposure to flow-through entities and private foundations is a plus
- Naturally curious and committed to staying current as tax laws evolve
- A strong communicator who can explain complex concepts clearly and confidently
- Comfortable building relationships, developing business, and representing the firm externally
