The Role:
We’re looking for a Tax Manager who loves the craft of tax but also enjoys working directly with clients, leading teams, and thinking a step ahead. In this role, you’ll own tax engagements end-to-end, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and help mentor the next generation of tax pros. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in business development and process improvements because we like smart ideas, not just status quo.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and deliver a variety of tax engagements, including individual, business, and more complex returns across different industries
- Own the full tax cycle—from planning and compliance to client conversations and special projects
- Identify proactive tax planning opportunities and help clients make informed, strategic decisions
- Translate complex tax concepts into clear, practical guidance clients can actually use
- Build strong, long-term client relationships by being responsive, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented
- Partner with leadership on client development efforts and growth initiatives
- Review work, delegate effectively, and support accurate billing tied to the work performed
- Lead, coach, and mentor Associates and Senior Associates, helping them grow both technically and professionally
- Stay current on tax laws and best practices and share insights with the team
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification
- 5–7 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical tax foundation with the ability to manage complex engagements
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- A self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a collaborative team environment
