Tax Manager:
Houston, TX
Hybrid 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee tax engagements to ensure compliance and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Manage current and deferred tax provisions per ASC 740.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end estimates for tax planning.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Plan and delegate tasks to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Handle engagement economics, including billing and profitability.
  • Train and mentor staff, supporting their professional development.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax provisions and compliance.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a strong client service orientation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field;advanced degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, or BNA is a plus.
