Overview
An organization is hiring a seasoned Project Manager with a technical foundation in engineering to oversee efforts tied to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Cloud Engineering. This individual will need to navigate team dynamics, manage interdependencies, and facilitate collaboration across multiple product teams in a highly technical setting.

The preferred background includes a start in software development, followed by a transition into leadership—someone who can move comfortably between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle project execution for SRE and Cloud Engineering efforts that span various product areas

  • Own and prioritize a product backlog that aligns with both technical constraints and business outcomes

  • Work in close coordination with engineers, solution architects, and product leads to ensure shared understanding of scope, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Translate vision, roadmap, and functional requirements across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Run Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews

  • Track project status, highlight risks, manage blockers, and report progress

  • Drive timely, quality outcomes through thoughtful planning and mitigation strategies

  • Promote a culture of collaboration and refine processes for continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 8–12 years of experience in the tech sector, including 3–5 years specifically managing projects

  • Exposure to or solid understanding of cloud environments, DevOps workflows, and SRE principles

  • Background in software engineering (hands-on experience strongly preferred)

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools like JIRA and Confluence

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple high-complexity initiatives

  • Skilled at aligning cross-functional teams in dynamic settings

Preferred Experience

  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or similar

  • Experience using platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Involvement in projects tied to cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or reliability practices
