About the Role
Our client is seeking multiple Test Drivers to support a short-term roadway testing project in the New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ area. This role involves operating vehicles on public roads and in controlled, closed-course environments to assist with roadway audits, scenario testing, and data collection. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, precise driving, and collaboration with the test engineering team to ensure accurate and reliable testing outcomes.
Project Details
- Start Date: March 11, 2026
- Duration: Approximately 5 weeks
- Location: New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ area
- Operate provided vehicles, reporting daily to a designated pickup and return location
- Travel on public roads to testing sites and perform driving scenarios in controlled test environments, including the Route 202 Toll Bridge
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes according to schedule to generate transactions and test data for roadway audits
- Conduct specific driving scenarios in a closed-course environment under supervision of the Test Engineer team
- Safely operate rental vehicles in live traffic, construction zones, and controlled test areas
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Test Engineer team as needed
- Document and report testing observations, vehicle performance, and any issues encountered during routes
Schedule & Working Conditions
- On-site arrival at approximately 8: 30 AM, testing begins at 9: 00 AM
- Lunch breaks 45–60 minutes, flexible depending on testing progress
- Short breaks provided throughout the day
- At least one evening driving session expected;additional evening or overtime hours possible during dry runs and testing
- Work will continue during standard rain or snow;protocols provided for severe weather
- Drivers must bring personal meals, snacks, phone, and car charger;communication may occur via Teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 21
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Comfortable driving in live traffic, construction areas, and closed-course environments
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing schedules and testing conditions
- Experience driving single-axle trailers, including backing and parking, is a plus for select roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexible schedule, including availability for gig, rideshare, or other variable work hours
- Experience supporting vehicle testing, data collection, or roadway auditing projects
- Familiarity with safety protocols, traffic regulations, and test site procedures
