Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize their warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, team leadership, and international shipping regulations. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes including international shipping. This is a hands-on position that will work closely with purchasing, manufacturing, and R&D.

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize their warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, team leadership, and international shipping regulations. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes including international shipping. This is a hands-on position that will work closely with purchasing, manufacturing, and R&D.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure smooth flow of goods and materials.
- Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Utilize international shipping expertise to manage import and export processes, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective international shipping.
- Implement and optimize warehouse processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in both domestic and international operations.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation procedures.
- Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory.
- Oversee the receiving and inspection of shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment for operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, sales, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, both domestically and internationally.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall warehouse performance.
- Manage relationships with external international partners, vendors, carriers, and suppliers to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, order fulfillment, and domestic and international shipping performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and optimize operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics processes, and international shipping regulations.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including training and development.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related role.
- Dangerous good shipping
- International shipping
- FedEx shipping Manager is key
- NetSuite experience preferred.
