Our client is looking for a Welder- Level I to join their team!
Job Description:
Under supervision, the employee is responsible for set-up and operation of TIG Welding, Spot Welding, and Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment within the work center. Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
Set-up and operation of TIG Welding, Spot Welding, Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment;
Perform rework and development hardware as required;
Maintain accurate and reliable documentation;
Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from welded parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements;
Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specification and ensure that accurate and reliable records are documentation are maintained;
Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated;
Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards;
Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the cell;
Adhere to all safety standards and regulation;
Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
Keeps work area clean and orderly;
Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications;
Supports and/or trains in other assembly areas as requested by Lead /Supervisor
Skills and Requirements:
Applicant must be ITAR compliant
Ability to acquire proficient knowledge of all Welding department operations;
Utilizes a variety of tool, gages and equipment;
Adequate manual dexterity;
Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;
Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instruction in English;
Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability;
Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner;
Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management. Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings;
Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy;
Working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required
Experience:
Minimum 12-24 months of related experience in welding or demonstrated. Proficiency (prefer experience in an aerospace environment)
